FAMILIARIZATION ROUTE PRACTICE

12:00 – 17:00

The course is open for practice on Tuesday July 4, with the official route signage, and and it will give you a great glimpse of what to expect in the next days of racing.

Riders are only allowed to test the route from 12h to 17h.

Please be aware that this course passes through private properties so riders are not allowed to be on the route outside of the designated times that have been set.
Note that hikers and mountain bikers make use of the same paths without limitations outside the competition schedule. It is important that you brake to walking pace when overtaking and stop at crossroads and narrow paths to allow space for hikers. 

Please note, there will be no medics on the course. You can find medical assistance during course practice times at Race Village.

FAMILIARIZATION ROUTE PRACTICE DETAILS

Just to get a perfect warm up before your journey conquering the Pyrenees we offer you a smoothly and nice route to ride. From The Race Village at La Massana, we took the road CG-3 to Ordino (remember that traffic rules must be respected). ​

In Ordino, we advise you to visit the village, known  as one of the best and most beautiful villages of  Andorra. Leaving Ordino,  we are going to take the Ferro route, a smooth and easy cycling route (Please respect the environment, because Ferro route is Andorra’s heritage). ​

From Sornas, we leave tarmac and we ride through a path that becomes a singletrack, which follows the GR-11, and leads us to discover hidden corners of the Principality and where some surprises await us (works of art, iron mines , Romanesque churches, waterfalls, ..)​
Arriving at Llorts, we leave that path and we get a narrow uphill in concrete. That point it’s the farthest one of the route. ​

We turn right to Serrat Village. The ride the links path, singletrack tarmac until the Sornàs Village, there we continue along the Ral path, leaving vineyards in a fast way parallel to the Valira del Nord river.​
Finally, arriving at Massana we cross the CG-3 at Farga Rossell, to reach the Village via wooden walkways to get to the finish line of all Andorra Epic Stages at the Race Village.
