Test Route

Parts of the official 2024 SPAR Swiss Epic route will be available for test rides on Sun, 18.08 from 12:00 and Mon, 19.08 until 15:30. These will be marked with official SPAR Swiss Epic route signage. The start and finish of the test route will be in the Race Village in La Punt, but you can enter the Test Route from every Official Race Hotel. You can ride the Test Route prior to Sun 18.08, but note that there will not be any route signage marking the course prior to Sun 18.08 12.00.

Please note that hikers and mountain bikers will make use of the same paths as the Test Route without limitations. Both parties need to be tolerant and considerate in order for this to work. It is important that mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop at crossroads and narrow paths, in order to allow space for hikers. Riding these trails prior to Stage 1 is outside of race operation hours and is therefore done without medical assistance and route safety. If you have pre-booked the Airport Transfer, you and your luggage and bike box will be transported from Zurich, Airport to Engadin to the Race Village or your Race Hotel. The bike must be boxed to get transported. The drive will take around 3-4 hours. The drive will take you through 4 different regions (Zurich, St. Gallen, Glarus & Graubünden) along beautiful lakes, valleys and the famous Albulapass. Enjoy the trip and the views! For the riders on the Airport Transfer on Sun, 18.08 at 18.00 food packages will be organized.

MEETING POINT FOR AIRPORT TRANSFER

If your flight has any delays, please inform our Race Office via Whats App

Unfortunately the airport transfer can not wait for any delayed arrivals, but we are happy to assist you with further travel plans. Please note, that any additional transfer will be at your expenses and can not be covered by the event organizer.

If you have pre-booked the Park+Ride Package, you can park your car in Davos for the entire duration of the event. Included in the package is transport from Davos to the Race Village or your Race Hotel for yourself, one piece of luggage, and one bike or bike box per person. The drive will take approximately 1h30min from Davos to Engadin and you will travel over the beautiful Flüelapass. Please ensure you get to Davos on time, as the shuttle will leave as scheduled. You can let the crew know on site, if you want your bike / bike box transported to Race Village or to your Race Hotel.

Pre- Event Services

All riders with pre-booked pre-event accommodation will have the opportunity to enjoy a wellness area with sauna, whirlpools and other spa treatments at their race hotels.

There are chargeable public parking available in Engadin as well as at your race hotel.

If you need any help with bike service, before the event, there are several bike shops in Engadin.

A self-service bike wash is available daily at the gondola stations, free of charge, as well as at the Race Village and in certain Race Hotels.

The mountain railway ticket is included with your overnight stay in the Official Race Hotels in Engadin.

Get up the mountain and enjoy the views from the most beautiful location – the top of the mountain. If you want to take your bike up the mountain and ride down one of the amazing trails, please don’t forget to book a ticket for your bike.

Please note, most of the gondolas do transport bikes, but not all of them.
