Your tracking device is crucial, should you have an accident and require medical assistance, as it allows us to accurately determine your position and dispatch our medical services accordingly. After pressing the SOS button, please also call the emergency number to provide any additional information about the nature of the accident.

  1. COLLECTING YOUR TRACKING DEVICE
    Your team’s tracking device will be included in the race pack you will collect at registration. It will be inside a sealed waterproof bag. Please do not take the tracking device out of its protection bag.
  2. TURNING ON YOUR TRACKING DEVICE
    Turn on your tracking device at least 30 minutes before the start of every stage, in an outdoor area. Simply press the On/Off button for a few seconds until the red light
    switches on, after that the other two lights will start to blink.
  3. CARRYING YOUR TRACKING DEVICE
    Insert the tracking device into the back pocket of your cycling jersey, or in the top pocket of your backpack.
  4. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TURN OFF THE TRACKING DEVICE AFTER EACH STAGE.
    Your tracking device will turn off automatically each evening some time after you have completed the stage.

IMPORTANT: If you notice the power light flashing red or have any other issues with the unit – please report to the Race Office. The battery levels will be monitored by the Race Organisers and you will be contacted should your device require any action.

AFTER COMPLETING THE RACE

After the last stage, please return your tracking device to the volunteers collecting them on the finish line, or at the Race Office. In case you do not finish the race. Lost or damaged devices will be invoiced EUR 150.

Please note the recommended on-route protocol:

  • Stay where you are and don’t leave your injured partner.
  • If you have cell phone reception, call the emergency number on your wristband accreditation.
  • If you see a marshal or race official – make contact, as that person will most likely have a radio with them.
  • The emergency button will send your SOS signal to the Venue Operations Centre until assistance arrives and disables the SOS.
  • Remember there is only one emergency button per team. We do not recommend that the uninjured rider continues on their own before assistance has arrived.
  • If you come across another team with an injured rider, do NOT activate your emergency button, but only the unit of the injured rider.
