A Bittersweet Start to the 4Islands Epic Journey

Despite missing out on Unije, the adventure continues on the stunning island of Lošinj. Get ready for an updated Prologue course filled with thrilling surprises and technical challenges!

We were really looking forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary with all of you on new island, especially Unije. Our hosts there had such a great vibe and were super eager to help out. It’s truly disappointing that we couldn’t make it happen this year. From the moment we set foot on Unije, we felt right at home and knew it would be perfect for you Too. We’re just as sad for them as we are for you riders. But don’t worry, there’s a wish and a plan, in place to get you there in one of the next 4Islands editions!

For now, we’re “stuck” on the beautiful island of Lošinj, which isn’t too shabby at all. We’ve updated the Prologue course, and it’s packed with the same thrills and excitement. Get ready for some surprises and technical segments that will test your skills. We’ll kick things off from the hotel area and head to the shoreline, with fun singletrack loops leading to the narrow coastline towards Čikat Peninsula. More action and singletrack riding await you there. Push hard because the Prologue course might be short, but it’s definitely long enough to make a difference for Stage 1.

Amateurs

For the start of the Prologue, teams will be divided into two groups based on their accommodation type: hotel or boar riders. Within each group, teams will be seeded according to their self-estimated times.

UCI Teams

UCI teams start after all amateurs (both women and men), starting from slower to faster.

Start times will be published on www.epic-series.com/4islands as well as the Epic Series App. Please check in at the designated call-up area 15 minutes before your allocated start time. If a team misses their start time, they will have to start at the back of the field, and their time will be taken from their allocated start time

Available Prologue Test Course 08:00-10:30

Before the Prologue

Start your day with breakfast at the race hotel. After that, drop off your luggage to the bus—it’ll be waiting for you in your cabin on the boat after the prologue. Then, grab your bike from the temporary bike park at the Sport Court, which is just a short walk from the hotel. Don’t forget to pack something warm and dry in your hand luggage; you’ll need it at the finish line.

After the Prologue

Once you finish with the 4Islands introduction, pick up your hand luggage and use the temporary bike park in front of Race Hotel Vespera to have your recovery meal at the hotel. Once you’re finished, we kindly ask you to ride to the bike park at the Race Ferry and leave your bike there to be ready for Stage 1. Your new accommodation, the boat, is within walking distance from the Race Ferry, so please check yourself in.

Please use the shuttle service in order to be transferred back to Race Hotel Vespera.
