I It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 SPAR Swiss Epic, taking place from August 19 to 23 in the heart of the majestic Graubünden region—my home, and the place where I’ve spent countless hours exploring the very trails, climbs, and descents you’re about to experience.

As Race Director, it’s an honour to greet you as you prepare for an unforgettable journey through the Swiss Alps. The SPAR Swiss Epic is more than just a race—it’s a dream that began in 2014, envisioned by mountain biking legend Thomas Frischknecht. His goal was to create an event where professionals and passionate amateurs could come together to Conquer the Alps. From the very beginning, our mission has been to deliver an exceptional experience—one where every rider feels supported, celebrated, and inspired.

This year marks a historic milestone: for the first time in our race’s history, we’re introducing a time trial stage, starting at the iconic Bernina Pass—the highest start ever in the Epic Series. At over 2,300 meters above sea level, this dramatic alpine setting will challenge your legs and elevate your spirit as you launch into the adventure ahead. It’s a bold new chapter for the SPAR Swiss Epic, and we’re thrilled to share it with you.

Throughout the week, you’ll ride through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth. Trust me—I know these trails well, and they never fail to amaze. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the warmth of Swiss hospitality, with every accommodation carefully selected to ensure your comfort and recovery. Our dedicated team works year-round to make sure you can focus entirely on the ride ahead.

Since our first edition, we’ve continued to evolve—exploring new routes, refining every detail, and pushing ourselves to raise the bar. Our commitment remains the same: to offer you the pinnacle of mountain biking in the Swiss Alps.
