Test Route

Parts of the official 2026 Swiss Epic course will be available for test rides from Monday, 17.08 at 12:00 until Tuesday, 18.08 at 15:30. During this period, the route will be marked with official Swiss Epic signage.

The Test Route officially starts and finishes in the Race Village in La Punt, Engadin. However, riders are not required to begin their ride there. The route can be accessed from various points along the course, including directly from participating hotels and accommodations, allowing riders to choose their preferred distance and starting location.

You are welcome to ride sections of the course prior to Monday, 17.08. Please note, however, that route signage will not be in place before 12:00 on Monday, 17.08.

Please be aware that the trails are open to both hikers and mountain bikers at all times. Respect, patience and consideration are essential to ensure a positive experience for everyone. When approaching hikers, riders must slow down to walking pace and, where necessary, stop at crossings, narrow sections or other constrained areas to allow hikers to pass safely.

Please note that riding the course prior to the start of Stage 1 takes place outside official race operations. As such, there will be no medical support, course marshals or route safety coverage in place.

If you’ve pre-booked the Airport Transfer, you and your luggage (including your bike box) will be transported from Zurich Airport to Engadin, either to the Race Village or your Race Hotel. Important: Your bike must be packed in a bike bag or box for transport.

The scenic drive takes around 3.5 hours, passing through four beautiful regions: Zurich, St. Gallen, Glarus, and Graubünden. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views of lakes and valleys along the way!

Please note: The transfer cannot wait for delayed flights. We’ll gladly assist with alternative travel arrangements, but any additional costs will be at your own expense.

Upon check-in, simply inform the crew whether you would like your bike or bike box delivered to the Race Village or directly to your Race Hotel.

MEETING POINT FOR AIRPORT TRANSFER

If you have booked the Park + Ride Package, you may park your car in Davos for the duration of the event. The package includes transportation from Davos to the Race Village or your Race Hotel for:

  • One person
  • One piece of luggage
  • One bike or bike box per person

The transfer to the Engadin takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and follows the scenic route over the beautiful Flüela Pass.

Please ensure that you arrive at the meeting point in Davos well in advance, as the shuttle will depart at the scheduled time and cannot be delayed for late arrivals.

Upon check-in, simply inform the crew whether you would like your bike or bike box delivered to the Race Village or directly to your Race Hotel.

There are chargeable public parking available in Engadin as well as at your race hotel.

If you need any help with bike service, before the event, there are several bike shops in Engadin.

A self-service bike wash is available daily at the gondola stations, free of charge, as well as at the Race Village and in certain Race Hotels.

The mountain railway ticket is included with your 3-overnight stay in the Official Race Hotels in Engadin.

Get up the mountain and enjoy the views from the most beautiful location – the top of the mountain. If you want to take your bike up the mountain and ride down one of the amazing trails, please don’t forget to book a ticket for your bike.

Please note, most of the gondolas do transport bikes, but not all of them.
