STAGE STARTS

For Stage 1, teams are allocated to start batches based on their self-estimated finishing times. From Stage 2 onwards, start positions are determined by the overall General Classification (GC) standings.
Start times will be published on the Epic Series App. Please note that daily start times differ! The Start Chute opens 15 minutes before your allocated start time and closes 5 minutes before the start.
The Start Chutes can only be entered as a team with both bikes. Teams cannot exit once they have entered the Start Chute.
Pumps will be available in the start area for last-minute tyre pressure adjustments.
Please note that no comprehensive technical service is available before the start. Our official tech partners will be available in the Race Village after each stage should you require assistance with repairs or bike maintenance.
Switzerland is known for its excellent drinking water quality, so you can safely refill your bottle at your Race Hotel or from any public tap.
Additional refill stations are available throughout race week:
- 226ERS Bottle Fill Station at the Race Village before each stage start
- Water Refill Station in the Rider Lounge
A Strip Stop is available at every stage start, allowing you to drop off clothing you wish to wear in the Start Chute but not during the stage.
To be accepted, all items must be placed in your personalised sling bag. Please attach your sling bag tag before dropping off your bag.
Once you have finished racing, remember to collect your sling bag from the Strip Stop area.
It is important to make sure that you carry with you the tools and spare parts you may need throughout the race, as well as enough water to sustain you.
We advise that you carry a multi-tool, tyre levers, cable ties, CO₂ cartridges, or pump and spare tube and anything else you may require.
The route passes through high alpine areas where the weather can change in an unpredictable manner. Please ensure that you have the necessary clothing with you to adapt to all kinds of weather. A rain and wind protective jacket should be carried at all times.
The weather forecast for each stage will be part of the online rider briefing every evening.
