PROLOGUE START TIMES
You will find your start time in your online profile, on the race register on cape-epic.com, or you can access it via the Epic Series App. It is crucial that you and your partner check-in at the designated call up area 15min before your allocated start time. If a team misses their start time, they will have to start at the back of the field and their time will be taken from their allocated start time.
ARAMEX DAY BAG HOLDING AREA
On Prologue day, you can check-in your bag at the holding area at the rider bag bedouin. Please ensure you check-out your bags by 14:00.
PARKING
If you are driving to the Prologue, please park in the designated Absa Cape Epic public parking areas. Please ensure that no cars are left in these areas when the race moves to the next race village in Saronsberg. If you would like to leave your car at Lourensford, you will need to move it to the Lourensford public parking area. Please note that leaving your car at Lourensford Wine Estate is at your own risk.
BIKE PARK
As you cross the finish line, you may hand your bike to our bike park assistants, who will take your bike to the bike wash area, wash your bike and then store it safely in the bike park. You are the only person who can check-out your bike with your rider numbered wristband. No third party will have access to the bike park unless specific arrangements have been made prior to the start of the race.
Remember to not leave bike computers and other valuable items on your bike after crossing the finish line.
TRANSPORT TO SARONSBERG
The drive from Lourensford to the first race village, in Saronsberg, takes approximately 2 hours. The race village will be fully operational from 12:00, excluding the bike wash facility. The bike wash will be available at Lourensford from 07:00-14:00.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have arranged transport from the Prologue to Saronsberg. Should you require assistance with transportation on Prologue day, please book a coach transfer at the Race Office. Note: coach transfer spots are limited.
Coach transfer is included if you booked Avis Upgrade and/or Pre-accommodation.
